Do you ship a fragile good?
A few tips to protect it for the journey
This post is dedicated to the person who is in charge to pack parcels in the firm. If you are not that person, you can do him or her a great favor by giving him or her this advice. Enjoy the reading.
1. Choose the right box
As you may know, boxes do not all have the same resistance. The more splines a box possesses (the number of layers of the box), the more resistant it is. It can vary from one single spline, for parcels whose weight does not exceed 10 kg, to three splines for parcels whose weight reaches 50 kg. Of course, prices vary according to the resistance of the box. Choose the most adapted box.
2. Protect your good
Do not hesitate to stuff the gaps with paper, this will avoid chocks. You can also use rags or expanded polystyrene if you do not have paper. Small test, if you slightly shake the parcel, you should not be able to hear the shaking.
3. Close the box correctly
Again, an obviousness, but think about certain things. Take preferably adhesive tape to keep the flaps correctly closed. Do not hesitate to use many layers.
